For those 55 years or older who are new or renewing. Save money on your car insurance and become a better driver. Minnesota law requires that insurance companies offer a 10% reduction for three years. Taught by a certified instructor; classroom instruction; no driving or test required. As of July 1, 2024, Minnesota law states that people will not need to take an 8-hr class, they are required to take a 4-hr class.
