There are two parts to becoming a certified scuba diver. Part 1: Classroom and pool time to learn the basic principles of scuba diving. Part 2: Open water exam in an area lake at a date TBD, which includes two shore dives, two boat dives, certification, paperwork, and logbook. This course is open to persons 12 and older. 17 and under must have a parent/guardian present the first night. All equipment and classroom materials are provided. Bring a swimsuit and towel. Indicate your height, weight, and shoe size when registering. Fees: $250 to Community Ed for Part 1; and (upon completion of Part 1) $250 to Tri-State Diving for Part 2.
